Great purchase! I bugged them several times with questions by phone before I pulled the trigger on a set of single zone Blend Door USA doors for my 08 RAM 1500. Not cheap as everyone knows but well worth it. These things are beautiful. I did a complete deep clean of the plenum, tested the motors, replaced the evap and heater cores, everything fit perfectly and I expect will work great. Should have a performance report by now but still haven't finished the project. I'm 74 and drop stuff so taking my time ha ha, also building a cabin air filter system into the box to keep the system cleaner, that evaporator was a mess after only 75k miles. Great CS from Ram Parts and BD USA, great product.
Having all New blend doors seem to make a big difference.
The plastic connectors of the originals were difficult to get out some broke as we were taken out, but the new aluminum and metal ones made it much more secure.
Unfortunately, we did change the heater core and it leaked the new one so we have to pull the dash back out and do it again that I’d probably recommend getting a soldered one we bought purchased one from rock auto which was from four seasons and it for some reason leaked. So we have not recharged the air conditioner and I went on vacation. I’m just getting back to finish up the job.

What a pain to take the dash out but I haven’t had heat or defrost in more years than I can count. The instructions on your site were almost perfect. Yours was an 08 mine is 05 so some minor differences. We hunt in December and this year we won’t be sitting on electric seat pads or scraping ice off the inside of the window. Thanks

Everything arrived without damage. The packing from Ram Parts USA was just average. Packing from Blend Doors was much better for protection of fragile parts.
The parts were exactly what I thought they would be when I tore my heater apart. Mine was not broke. They had the upgrade kit in it so I did not use them. The seller was easy to work with.
Delivered quickly and when I called to ask questions since they are refurbished, answered all questions and made me feel comfortable with purchase. 2 months installed and no issues yet.
My local shop installed everything a week ago so far all is good everything works as it should very quiet and smoth ac blows a cool 48 degrees and I air floo is as goog as when it was new

Its for trucks that still have the OEM system from the 90s with an orifice tube inside the liquid line, not compatible with an already replaced system with the orifice tube at the condenser since the hot/low side ports aren't in the correct spots.

Expert technical advice coupled with patience and understanding when dealing with a “shade tree mechanic” makes for a winning project strategy and positive outcome.
The heater core was awesome, fit perfectly! However, I noticed that the retaining strap is made out of Steel and the tubes are aluminum! That is cause for Galvanic Corrosion between different metals. I chose to add 3 layers of "Shrink wrap" on the end that come in contact with the tubes, to eliminate the metal contact! This is critical to address while rebuilding the HVAC Box or just replacing the heater core!
